How to replace the radiator cap
"Just twist and turn to remove it!"
Radiator Cap
Loosen slowly. (If removed abruptly, hot water or steam may erupt, which is dangerous.)
1. Since there is a risk of coolant spraying out when removing it, wait some time after the engine stops before performing the work.
2. To avoid the risk of burns, cover the cap with a wrung-out rag or towel and then turn the cap.
3. When removing, turn counterclockwise. Once you feel two clicks/stops, pull straight up to remove it.
4. Align the new cap with the removed position and turn it clockwise. Once you feel two clicks/stops, the locking is complete. Confirm that the cap is in the same direction as the hose and is not floating/lifted, and the replacement is finished.
If the radiator cap is removed when the coolant temperature is high immediately after the engine stops, hot water or steam may erupt, posing a risk of burns.
Please perform the work after the engine has cooled down sufficiently and the water temperature has dropped.
